Hello to all. My name is Paul Frankel and I am the winemaker here at Sculpterra Winery. I grew up right here on the Frankel Ranch and I have a deep passion for grape growing and for our 260 aces of vineyards, pistachios and rolling hills filled with oak trees. I graduated from Cal Poly in June 2009 with a BS in Wine and Viticulture. My intention for this blog is to detail my work as the winemaker/vintner as well as forecast the harvest, and the development of our winery and tasting room. I will jump from the discussions of the vineyards, the wine, the family, the art, the property and the state of the grape industry. I hope you enjoy.
