Sculpterra Winery & Sculpture Garden has combined wine and art with a distinctive line-up of wines, a beautiful wine country setting and a magnificent sculpture garden to create a truly unique wine country experience. Sculpterra boasts of award-winning Cabernet Sauvignon, award winning Syrah & Petite Sirah and award winning red blends with multiple GOLD medals including Best in Class and Best in Region awards. We are also proud to include in our line up a balanced Chardonnay, a crisp Sauvignon Blanc and an estate grown Zinfandel. Most recently, two new blends called Statuesque and Maquette, joined the Sculpterra name. The sculptures have been created by John Jagger and are framed by a path-lined garden where guests can take in the experience. Sculpterra is your first choice for wine country weddings, club meetings and special events on the California Central Coast. Learn more about our Wines and our Art.

Paso Robles Wine Country is centrally located between San Francisco and Los Angeles along California's Central Coast. As California's fastest growing wine region and largest geographic appellation, the 24 square mile territory encompasses more than 26,000 vineyard acres and nearly 200 wineries with over 100 tasting rooms.

Paso Robles Winemakers and wine grape growers are in accord when they say "Quality wine begins in the vineyard." Paso Robles wines tend to be deeply colored and rich due to the intensity of the sun, with fairly bright acidity due to the cool nights. However, beyond these generalizations, the region’s diversity prevents easy characterization of its wines.

Paso Robles vineyards enjoy a greater day-to-night temperature swing than any other appellation in California, distinct microclimates, diverse soils and a long growing season, Paso Robles is a unique wine region blessed with optimal growing conditions for producing premium and ultra premium wines. More than 40 wine grape varieties are grown in Paso Robles, ranging from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, to Syrah, Viognier and Roussanne, to Zinfandel, the area's heritage wine varietal.

Paso Robles is famous for its structured Cabernet Sauvignon and much of its acreage is planted with this grape. However, a group of young dynamic winemakers, part of the group known as the Rhone Rangers, is gaining attention with Syrah. Wines from the westernmost section in the foothills have the highest profile, yet it is the more fertile eastern half of the AVA that is responsible for the bulk of production. Vineyards in the western section feature a mixture of both calcerous and siliceous rocky soils and daytime summer temperatures often top 90°F. In the evening, vines are cooled by ocean breezes cascading down the eastern mountain slopes, which maintain the grapes' acidity. The eastern half of the AVA tends to be warmer and drier. Wineries in this section of the AVA typically produce full bodied wines with rich fruit character. These wines often have softer tannins and lower acidity compared to the west, making them more approachable in their youth.

How did we come up with Sculpterra?

Sculpterra is simply the blending of two names that capture the essence of our winery:

Sculpture and Terra (earth). The winery sculpts the grapes in the vineyards and sculpts the wine in the cellar creating a premium bottle of wine.

Sculpterra Winery has combined wine and art with a distinctive line-up of wines, a beautiful wine country setting and a magnificent sculpture garden to create a truly unique wine country experience in Paso Robles, California.
