It takes 48 hours of travel time to get to India from California, U.S.A. but everyone of our medical missionary team felt called to serve and counted it a privilege and an honor and an opportunity to aid the poor people in the cities of Bangalore and Visahakhapatnam. We are all a part of “His Healing Hands”, a Christian medical missionary organization, supported by this winery.

Thanks to the prayers of many people back home, we had a very successful trip, treating 700 patients, some very ill and even doing some minor surgeries. These “untouchables” of the lower caste system of India, live in the slums of these cities with virtually no medical care, and no hope. Besides giving them medicines and evaluating their medical needs and diagnoses, I believe we gave them hope and showed them in a very tangible way that the people of the United States care about them.

We cannot do everything or treat everyone but every one of us can do something. I invite all of you to join “His Healing Hands” in one of our future medical trips.
